The Estate comprises 3500 acres of land with 4 farms, woodland, 33 houses and approximately 3 miles of foreshore.
Through the proactive management of the Estate we aim to:
- Protect the outstanding scenic interest of the Estate
- Protect the Estate’s sustainability, the economic viability and continued survival.
- Conserve and where appropriate restore the main elements of the designed historic landscape and built features.
- Manage the landscape to enhance nature conservation

Why not make a weekend of your wedding and stay in our gorgeous self catering wedding accommodation. The rooms are situated in the castle itself and can host up to 16 of your nearest and dearest, for a fun and relaxed occasion. The rooms offer a variety of views, with either a castle backdrop or breath-taking views over the deer park.
Our sumptuous Honeymoon suite comes included for the wedding couple when booking a reception with us, spend your first night as newlyweds in one of the original master bedrooms. The honeymoon suite offers the most majestic views across the Exe estuary and Deer park, and you will be served a full Devon breakfast in your suite the following morning.
